Here's an interesting article in Salon.com about the judges who have been making rulings about Terri Schiavo:

The one wonderful thing, if it's possible to say such a thing in such a miserable situation, is that the judges have not allowed personal feelings, and /or religious beliefs to color their rulings. Nor have they looked at the case as a possible way to promote their political parties agendas. They have done their job and stuck to the law.
This may not have been the way many good, well meaning people would want it. They are so caught up in the drama of one woman's life and death that they are not seeing the larger scheme of things.
In treating the Schiavo case the same way they would treat ANY such case brought before them, the judges have done far, far more to protect our constitutional rights than the people who actually MAKE the laws.
Kudos to the judges. No matter who appointed them, Republican or Democrat, they chose well.......................
